Design is Personal

A sneak peek…

I blogged at the beginning of the year; I wanted more.

More meaning. More purpose. More results.

More productivity in my day. More passion in my projects. More intention in my actions.

The past five months; more is an understatement. Family time, monumental life events, amazing clients. Personal and professional development. A whole lot more… including a side hustle…

A personal renovation.

Phase one. A downstairs bedroom and adjoining bath. Repurposed. My new office. Private yet public.

Plans are drawn. Story boards are made. Finishes, fixtures, equipment all selected. Work has begun.

Renovating is invasive.

Sequestered to our primary bedroom; the new living room. All of us - including the “only allowed downstairs” dog.

Progress is slow. Steady. Baby steps. Almost done. Seventy-five percent completed. No time to slow down. The end is in sight.

I chose tile. Square 8x8s. Arranged to create interest.

Color. Pattern. Texture.

My design moto.

The result. Light, bright, airy.

I’m not done.

Paint, wallpaper, baseboards, mirrors, art, lighting, area rugs, storage, accessories. Finishing details.

Specific reasons for design decisions. I’ll explain later. Controversial? Probably. Not everyone will understand the vision. That’s okay.

Design is personal.

THIS space is designed for me. Let’s design a space for YOU!
