LET’S COLOR!
Nature relies on color, effortlessly mixing and matching, fully aware it must deliver an impeccable performance. Attract, warn, nourish, sustain, camouflage; our living ecosystem relies on these perfect combinations for survival and reproduction.
Yellow, red, orange - vibrant colors purposely designed to warm, excite, alert. Warm hues expel heat, provoke passion.
Blue, green – soothing colors connecting us to Earth’s resources of water and air, signifying nature, growth, rebirth. Cool colors calm, relax our minds.
The Color Wheel shows the brain how colors relate to each other. Monochromatic is a well-dressed woman outfitted in varying tints, shades, and tones of a single color. Complimentary colors hold a conversation across a round table. Holding hands, analogous colors walk in unison two, three, four in a line.
Color communicates. It shouts bright and bold or it whispers soft and peaceful.
Color affects. It welcomes like a friendly hug or repels like a rank smell.
Color feels. It stimulates with urgency or sways gently.
Incorporating color into your world means self-evaluation. What colors do you wear? What colors draw you in? What colors make you shut your eyes? Do you like pops of color or do you like color wrapped around you like a warm blanket?
Color is personal and demands your attention.
Stop. Listen. Feel. What does color say to you?
